Sales & Estimating
The Sales & Estimating phase of the MSI Method begins with a design-build consultation. During the consultation, our structural engineers review preliminary and completed steel designs and make recommendations regarding types of connections, spans, savings on fabrication techniques, and methods of erection.
Once a Client selects MSI to bid or price a project, our estimating division reviews and prepares projected costs of shop, field and detail drawing preparation; labor hours; steel and other raw materials as well as other costs. This process is managed within Fabtrol MRP, a fully integrated estimating and production control software system.
On bid projects, a formal proposal is prepared detailing the specific services and materials we plan to provide, payment terms and project completion timelines. MSI's management team then meets with the Client in order to review the bid. Our proposal is finalized with a definitive contract.
