Safety
MSI considers accident prevention to be of utmost importance. As a result, we maintain a drug-free environment and have a variety of safety policies and programs in place that are administered and enforced by our top management as well as a safety committee.
Our safety committee is responsible for the management and coordination of training, field safety meetings, safety audits and safety programs. In order to better communicate Midsouth’s safety culture, nine members of the safety committee are bilingual in English and Spanish.
One of the first initiatives launched by our safety committee was the "Safety Best Practices Program" which ensures that all company personnel comply with the safety standards established by Midsouth, our insurance carriers, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as state and local laws and regulations. Secondly, we have established a bonus program based on an employee's or a team's safety record and training sessions to teach proper safety work procedures.
Through our policies, programs, meetings and personnel, we will continue to promote the significance of an accident-free workplace.
