Continuous Improvement
Midsouth’s continuous improvement program is an ongoing commitment to invest in people, technology, and facilities. First and foremost, we believe in the value of people, which is why we provide a challenging, rewarding and fun working environment for our employees and subcontractors. Secondly, we are committed to improving processes through technology by upgrading and purchasing new software packages and equipment. Lastly, we are constantly updating and expanding our facilities in order to further increase our ability to quickly and efficiently process, fabricate and erect steel.
Staff
MSI believes in the value of people. We offer employees competitive compensation and performance-based incentives. As a rapidly growing company with lean management and a flat organizational chart, Midsouth provides employees with the opportunity for long-term career growth. We also pride ourselves on providing a challenging, rewarding and fun working environment for our employees and subcontractors.
Technology-Enablement
Midsouth is committed to improving processes through technology. Therefore, we operate several management information systems that are used to: estimate, purchase, monitor and allocate inventory as well as manage documents, create reports and reduce risks throughout our production facilities. Our systems also include detailing, estimating, material management, production management, change orders, work-in-process status, invoicing and payment. MSI recently purchased and implemented Fabtrol MRP and Tekla Structures in order to manage our products and services effectively. Our investment in technology enhances productivity for both Midsouth and our Clients. In addition, Midsouth has a GPS system for identifying and tracking company vehicles, shipments and erection crews.
State-of-the-Art Production Facility.
Our state-of-the-art production facility encompasses over 65,000 square feet on a secured 12 acre site. Recently, we completed a two year facilities expansion project to accommodate additional personnel, a computer numerically controlled ("CNC") laser and plasma cutter, a beam line, two painting and coating facilities, a 400 foot overhead conveyor system, a 200 ton CNC hydraulic press brake, a hydraulic shear, and a CNC angle line with immersion heater. Our facilities expansion and equipment upgrades further increase our ability to quickly and efficiently process, fabricate and erect steel.
